I had been based out of Cache Valley, Utah for 8 years until I moved to Hangzhou in early 2013. I taught English for a year there and I am now living in Port Orchard, Washington, right outside of Seattle. You never know what paths life will take you down so I try to stay open to the possibilities. I'm also a bass player in the bands Nadia Pero (reverbnation.com/nadiapero) and Fa Koshka (reverbnation.com/fakoshka). My art style I describe as social pop surrealism. Or perhaps social expressionism & pop surrealism.
I like using acrylic paints as a medium because they are fluid and quick to dry so I can express abstract ideas and concepts quickly. I've also begun using elements like decoupage and spray paint to add texture to my pieces as well. I'm constantly attempting to integrate new elements and techniques into not only my particular style of painting but music as well.
