"The Provider" (24in x 20in acyrlic on canvas)

This is the post I made after a fever dream the other day, it is the inspiration for this piece. "Just woke up from a really strange dream and had to write this down. In the dream there didn't seem to be anybody I knew, just these almost old prohibition era type gangsters all smooth talking and trying to one up each other, vying for a top position. But the person at the top of this bunch had something happen. I couldn't tell for sure what exactly but, but it left him alone and weakened. I began to see this visual of a tree losing all it's branches and leaves. The one branch near the top was weakly swaying back and forth, dieing. Vulnerable to attack from the other gangsters vying for that top spot I imagine.

The wife of this particular "top" gangster, who had been quietly by his side the whole time, went about approaching other people that had been in the background of my dream on street corners, alleyways and such. She began singing to them, and it started to illuminate them, and for each person there was a different song, or poem she would use. I can't remember any of the words or melodies unfortunately but they had a very lively lullaby quality to them. What I mean by that is the sort of lullaby that is meant to calm you down right after you've been jarred from a bad dream, rather then one that is meant purely for sleep. But then I started getting this visual of the tree again. There was this golden type light shooting up through the trunk of the tree and reinvigorating the tree itself, lending support and strength to that branch that had been swaying. And the tree started to be reinvigorated with new branches and leaves. I woke up after that and this phrase was in my head pretty distinctly, and is ultimately why I'm typing this all up cause it seemed so odd and enjoyable to me, I thought you guys might like it as well. The phrase is

"The songs of our maidens have stronger""foundations then our O so important prunable maneuvers."

but all of mine are nightmares, i even take medication to prevent them! anyway, they 're still inspiring and exciting. :)
i was going to request this, but it's already in pretty much everything i could request it for! lol

hehe, well thank you for lookin out for the piece. I dig dreams as well. I'm lucky enough to either have funny ones, inspirational ones, or ones that are just merely frustrating. Every once and a while an apocalypse painting happens that freaks me out but those are very rare.
